The Criterion Seating Chart

The Criterion Seating Chart

You’ll find The Criterion’s flexible seating arrangements adapt to create different experiences. Understanding the venue’s layout helps you make informed decisions when purchasing tickets and ensures you select seats that match your preferences. It’s a two-level configuration, so it provides options for guests who want to be in the thick of the action or prefer a more relaxed vantage point.

Most of the Criterion events are held in theater seating arrangements spread across two levels facing the stage. Seating is cushioned pull down theater seating with arm wrists and plenty of room for guests to get comfortable. And care was taken to ensure that proper sightlines were had at all seats in the house.

Of the seating, there are a limited number of ADA-approved handicapped seats that are available on a first-come first-serve basis. This seating can be purchased along with a limited number of companion seats.

If you require ADA-approved accommodations or emergency ADA-seating, then please be sure to contact the venue as soon as possible. You may contact the venue at (405) 840-5500.

NOTE: The The Criterion in Oklahoma City seating chart may vary depending on the type of events. Some events offer unique or varied seating arrangements. Always check the individual event seating map when choosing your tickets.

General Admission Floor

You’ll experience the most energetic atmosphere on the general admission floor during standing-room events. This configuration removes all seating from the main floor, creating an open space where you can move freely and position yourself as close to the stage as you like. Early arrival proves crucial for general admission shows if you want to secure a prime spot near the stage.

Typically, the floor accommodates large crowds while maintaining reasonable personal space. This popular standing-room layout creates an immersive concert experience where you feel the energy of the performers and the crowd around you at rock, alternative, hip-hop, and electronic music events.

In this section, your fellow audience members will expect to move, dance, and fully engage with the music. The stage height positions performers at the perfect level for floor audiences to see them clearly, even in a packed room.

Reserved Floor Seating

Occasionally, you’ll be able to find comfortable assigned seating, but this depends on whether the event has been configured with reserved floor seating. These select shows may install rows of seats across the main floor for the most desirable sightlines for seated events.

Reserved floor seating appeals to guests who want great views without standing throughout the performance. You’ll appreciate being able to sit comfortably while still maintaining proximity to the stage. This configuration appears most frequently for singer-songwriter performances, comedy shows, and theatrical productions.

Balcony Level Seating

The Criterion also offers the balcony level for an elevated perspective of the stage and either general admission areas or reserved seating. This second-floor area wraps around the venue’s perimeter, accommodating up to 1,300 guests across multiple seating sections. The balcony sections also offer direct views of the stage, as well as a top view of the main floor crowds below.

When there’s reserved seating in this area, the balcony’s elevation places you close enough to feel connected to the performance without being in the throng of the general admission crowds. Two bars flank either side of the balcony level to ensure you still have convenient access to beverages without missing significant portions of the show.

Balcony seats may offer more budget-friendly ticket options for certain shows while still providing clear views of the stage and performance. A bird’s-eye view allows you to take in the full production, including the impressive lighting, staging, and audience dynamics.

The sound quality remains excellent in the balcony sections thanks to The Criterion’s professional audio system and acoustic engineering. You’ll find these sections particularly appealing for shows where you want to enjoy the music and atmosphere without navigating packed floor areas or standing for the whole show. Not every show has balcony seats available, so be sure to check each show’s configuration individually.

Accessible Seating

You’ll find The Criterion fully committed to providing excellent experiences for guests with disabilities. Accessible seating locations are positioned at multiple viewing angles, and the venue features elevator access for guests with mobility challenges to reach the upper seating area.

You can purchase accessible seating through the venue’s box office or online ticketing systems.
