Djo, also known by his real name, Joe Keery, is a multi-talented viral hit-making legend who first emerged onto the indie music scene with his debut album Twenty Twenty in 2019. Years later, his B-side End of Beginning went completely viral on the media sharing app TikTok. Now, he’s touring the world at large alongside psychedelic rockers Post Animal, so don’t miss it! Ever since the world fell in love with a seemingly random B-side off of his two year old sophomore album, things haven’t been quite the same for Djo. His song, End of Beginning, was initially released as a B-side on his second studio album, Decide, which came out in 2022. Much later, in 2024, it began being used sporadically by TikTok until it eventually became the app’s unofficial “song of the year.”
Still, don’t get the wrong impression – it wasn’t like End of Beginning was the singer’s big break or anything. Before the hit went viral, Djo was already topping charts and gaining a wider audience with the release of his second album, Decide. The record was definitely the start of Djo’s career as we know it, though, both because it harbours End of Beginning and because with that album was the singer’s first that really saw success at that volume.
But Djo is much more than his viral TikTok hit – in just six years of releasing music, the singer-songwriter has released three full length albums, a small handful of singles, and toured the world at large. This year, Djo’s headed back on the road with his former bandmates, Post Animal.
